The colorful scarecrow is a fun sensory art for kids to do to celebrate Thanksgiving.
The best way to enhance children’s learning is through sensory stimulation. Our knowledge depends on everything we perceive through our senses; all the stimuli we receive will help us develop better neural connections.
The best age to adequately stimulate children is from birth to 3 years old. The stimulation must be done with greater intensity at this age because 85% of our brain’s development occurs at this phase of our life.
When children are in touch with their environment, they experience, discover, and get new learning through their senses. This interaction with the environment also enhances the first relationships with their peers.
Children must have multisensory environments. That will allow them to develop each one of their areas. These spaces must allow boys and girls to have an experience in which children will be free to explore, discover, and enjoy their senses.
Please, remember that this stimulation must be a joint effort between parents and school. It is unnecessary to have the most specialized implements to achieve good stimulation. With the things that we use in our daily lives, we can do it. The important thing is to have colored objects, shapes, sizes, and sounds and textures.
Good stimulation will develop children’s concentration, coordination, logical thinking, sounds identification, communication skills, affective bonds, etc.
