The yummy caterpillar is a fun sensory activity to introduce vegetables that kids will eat.
Most of the children don’t like green vegetables, even without having eaten them before, and most of the time, we as parents end giving in and eliminate green vegetables from their daily food. A big mistake, because vegetables provide great benefits to our children’s development.
Nowadays, we found boys and girls having obesity problems or diabetes due to their poor or unhealthy eating habits. Vegetables bring fibers, water, antioxidants, and vitamins and have a low caloric level. We should look for a way to include vegetables in our children’s food.
We must teach children how important it is to eat vegetables, and we can make the learning fun. Also, make them feel they are not being pushed to eat vegetables, but they make a good choice that will provide a lot of benefits to their health. Also, please consider that children learn by imitating, so we have to show them to eat vegetables while we eat them ourselves.
Today, we will create a caterpillar with vegetables kids will eat such as tomatoes, corn, carrots, and lemon. Remember to wash your hands before we begin cooking and also wash the vegetables we will use. We should explain to children why we do this.
