Valentine’s day is a fun celebration that kids love. For parents and educators, this celebration can be a learning opportunity for kids. Our floating hearts home activity for kids is a fun STEM science experiment and an exciting Valentines Day activities for kids.
Children’s minds are creative by nature. Between 0-6, they can absorb knowledge quickly, effortlessly, and in an unlimited way from their environment and everything that they live daily. That’s why we must be careful about what children are taught. The situations and lessons must be those they can handle according to their age and infinite capacity.
Everything that the child learns is kept deep in his/her memory. In this first stage of experimentation, their personalities are developed. After six, with the development of the will and the power of reasoning, the reasoning mind becomes dominant.
Valentines Day Activities for Kids with experiments stimulate children to let their imaginations fly. According to the activity developments, they realize the result and reality, applying their knowledge during the experiment.
As a result, the different experiments that children engage and learn through the senses support their recognition of sounds, smells, tastes, movements, reasoning, and observation of their environment. Children will intuitively make connections from their everyday experiences to the experiments they undertake.
All experiences must always be carried out in a fun and motivating environment to make children eager and expectant of the “magical” moment from experimentation. An environment prepared as suggested by the Montessori learning method.
