However, developing children’s attention is not easy because children are born with a disposition to perceive all stimuli. Sometimes they become overstimulated and have trouble concentrating on a single task. As the brain develops, children learn to omit some stimuli and focus on specific things.

Thus, they are undeniably enhancing memory and attention processes, directly influencing learning. MATERIALS
- Two green bond paper sheets or construction paper
- Scissors
- Glue
- Different colored paper circles previously made
ACTIVITY DEVELOPMENT
Step 1:
Make a cone with one of the green bond/construction paper sheets, glue each end so that the cone does not open.
Step 2:
Cut off the excess paper at the bottom of the cone.
Step 3:
Fold a section of the other green sheet all the way across.
Step 4:
Cut out the paper following the mark you made when folding it. Keep doing this to make several equal strips.
Step 5:
Use the strips of green paper you just cut, and slightly cut the edges so that they all have a fringe (pieces cut apart), but do not cut all the way to the end. You are going to use scissors to curl the loose edges.
Step 6:
Glue all the strips on the cone, creating the tree’s leaves.
Step 7:
Glue the colored circles all over the tree and a star on the top.

Younger children can complete this paper Christmas tree craft activity. It is necessary to lower the difficulty level, considering the abilities of each child. It would help if you do the cone with paper and give it to the child with colored beads and colored cotton balls. The child can glue the colored beads onto the cotton balls. These will be the Christmas tree lights. After the glue has dried, the child can then glue them on the cone.
