Let kids put the footballs in the container in this Montessori-based football activity for kids. This is a fun activity that will strengthen children’s fine motor skills and let them learn about colors.
Early childhood education is very important. As adults, we should make activities available that help develop different skills such as motor skills. The knowledge that children acquire through practical life activities gives them autonomy and empowerment and helps to establish their lives on values and attitude towards each life situation.
Practical life activities bring with them multiple benefits. For example, they allow the development of individual capacities according to each child’s rhythm, which will enable them to have freedom of growth without being violated.
Autonomy and independence are capacities that they also manage to acquire through child self-regulation, self-confidence, the ability to make decisions, and critical thinking. Additionally, they develop active learning because they are protagonists of their education and active seekers of knowledge since, they are free to question at all times.
Montessori practical life activities help children gain control of their movement and coordination. The children use their hands, arms, and strength to control each task they are carrying out. When children are allowed to participate in activities at home, they feel valued, and their self-esteem increases.
In this way, children have the opportunity to work calmly and feel proud of their efforts. That also helps them develop concentration since most activities have logical sequences. The child must bear in mind that the tasks are carried out with a principle and an end.
