- Water
- Cornstarch
- Food coloring (red)
- A bowl
- A stirrer
ACTIVITY DEVELOPMENT
Step 1:
Pour the cornstarch into the bowl.
Step 2:
Add the food coloring to the water.
Step 3:
Stir the water until it is thoroughly mixed.
Step 4:
Pour the water with the food coloring over the cornstarch and mix the ingredients using your hands.
Step 5:
Shape the cornstarch and observe what happens.

CHANGES FOR CHILDREN UNDER 4 YEARS OLD
This preschool science experiment activity can be carried out with younger children. Since it is a scientific experiment, it is unnecessary to change the materials.
Still, it is important that the containers adjust to the children’s capacities and do not present any risk to them. Containers preferably made of plastic.
If they have some grip, it will improve precision in children’s movements without neglecting children’s importance throughout the process.
CHANGES FOR CHILDREN OLDER THAN 6
This preschool science experiment activity can be developed with older children. For this, it is unnecessary to change the materials because it is a scientific experiment.
