- Colored Play-Doh in a container
- Container with beads
- Container with pieces of pipe cleaner

ACTIVITY DEVELOPMENT
This playdoh activity for toddlers must be carried out with an adult’s surveillance since very small materials are used, and children can hurt or swallow them.
Step 1:
Take the Play-Doh, knead it, and form the butterfly wings on the card stock. There will be four wings pressed onto the paper.
Step 2:
Place a piece of the pipe cleaner in the middle of the wings forming the butterfly’s body.
Step 3:
Use Play-Doh to make the head of the butterfly.
Step4:
On the butterfly’s wings, put the colored beads. (Always under the supervision of an adult.)
Step 5:
Use the pipe cleaner to make the butterfly’s antennas.

CHANGES FOR CHILDREN UNDER 4 YEARS OLD
This spring activity for kids can be developed with younger children.
