Baby Jesus Easter Painting for Kids Sensorial Worksheets (1-2 Year Olds)

The feet are a very important part of the body as they allow you to stand upright, walk, and maintain balance. There are also more than 7,000 nerve endings on the feet, so the body temperature changes when the feet are hot or cold. The feet make a great effort since they support twice the body’s weight in each step taken and much more when running.

Feet should be cared for in the same way as hands, eyes, mouth, etc. Many of the illnesses that adults suffer from are a consequence of a lack of care and childhood attention. The body has intelligence; this means that it will adopt positions or postures to avoid or reduce pain. Bad foot positioning can cause pain in other parts of the body, such as the knees, hips, or spine.

The feet play a critical role in developing children’s intelligence since balance allows for better exploration of the environment and favors adaptation. Since children can see their world from another angle and their perception of it changes, children with greater control of their body manage to establish better relationships with others. After all, they feel more self-confident because they have developed awareness of their own body.

Before starting school, children should have the opportunity to develop different skills, facilitate proper development, and acquire new knowledge. That implies that they have good stimulation so that they can obtain a maturation of the muscle nerve. In short, they are able to skillfully perform different motor activities just like doing our Easter painting activity.

Motor movements (hands and feet) are closely related to literacy and mathematics processes; children learn in a specific way, using each of their senses. Body movements directly affect mental activity, establishing new knowledge.

HOW DO WE DO THIS ACTIVITY?

Topic: The feet – sensory stimulation

Age: 1-2-year-old children

Goal: Through this Easter painting activity, children will stimulate the sense of touch, enhancing motor development.

Difficulty level: Basic. This Easter painting activity is designed to be done autonomously and independently by scouting with an adult’s company.

MATERIALS

A container where the child can put their feet
Paints
Bubble wrap
Baby Jesus drawing(previously made)
Pipe-cleaners or small rubbers to bind the paper to the children’s feet

ACTIVITY DEVELOPMENT

It is important for the child to constantly be under adult supervision to avoid injury or harm.

Step 1:

The adult must do this step. Place the drawing on the floor.

Step 2:

The adult must do this step. Pour the paint into the container.

Step 3:

The adult must do this step. Tie the bubble wrap onto children’s feet.

Step 4:

The child will then step into the container holding the paint.

Step 5:

After doing the previous step, children can color the drawing with their feet.

HOW TO DEVELOP THIS EASTER PAINTING ACTIVITY WITH CHILDREN OF OTHER AGES?

It is important for the child to constantly be under adult supervision to avoid injury or harm.

CHANGES FOR CHILDREN UNDER 1 YEAR

You can do this Easter painting activity with younger children. To reduce the difficulty level, children can perform this activity with their hands by inserting them in the bubble wrap since they probably have not learned to walk yet. However, it is vital that children feel different stimuli with their feet. To start the process of learning to walk, they can do it barefoot on mats. In this way, children will carry out an Easter activity appropriate to their development and abilities.

CHANGES FOR CHILDREN OVER 2 YEARS OLD

You can do this Easter painting activity with older children. To increase the level of difficulty, children can settle on a surface with different materials such as sandpaper and cotton, stuffed toys, rice, etc. That way, children can perceive different textures and strengthen their neural connections. In this way, children will carry out a preschool activity appropriate to their development and abilities.
