Memory plays a vital role in the development of a child’s cognitive skills. Due to memory, children can remember information they perceive through their senses. Developing a child’s memory is fundamental and affects their day-to-day life.
The sense of sight and hearing are especially important during the stimulation and memory enhancement process. Children must be aware of what they hear and see, which will help them start a relationship with their surroundings.
There are several ways to develop children’s memory, such as handicrafts. Through this, they should follow instructions they see and hear, and then remember that while doing the task.
We must keep this in mind when trying to stimulate children’s memory. We don’t want them to feel under pressure or overwhelmed. Children under stress will not be able to produce as they would normally.
Children remember easier when relating things such as a song, a situation, a person, etc. As we all know, learning is a process; nobody in the world can learn everything at once. To reach our teaching goal, we can show them several times what we want them to do. We should test children’s memory.
After age three, children start paying attention to what they see and hear, enhancing their memory. The next Santa craft activity will test children’s memory because they must remember and follow instructions to do the activity.
Younger children could not remember complicated instructions, so we must do an easier handcraft and give one instruction at a time.

Christmas Handcraft Activity for Kids
You can also do this kids activity with older children. To increase the difficulty level, you can ask them to make a Santa card. They can fold the construction paper by themselves and draw their hands. Then, they will decorate the upper cover of Santa Claus, and on the other one, they will write a letter. It’s that easy. Children created a card whose elaboration implied greater precision and skill in hand and finger movements.
