Parents always want the best for their children. The ideal is to educate children capable of facing challenges every day with love and joy.

However, in this process, which is also a learning process for parents, several mistakes are made without realizing it. Being a parent is not an easy task, and the only way to learn is with your own children.

Self-esteem is fundamental in children’s integral development; that’s why many of the activities carried out aim to strengthen it, as the activities recommended by the Montessori method.

However, many parents trying to educate their children generate the opposite effect, intensely hurting their self-esteem. That does not mean that parents treat their children negatively.

When parents try to solve each of the challenges presented daily in children’s lives, it makes them insecure children, unable to find answers to problems, fear of failure, and little motivation to learn and function in unfamiliar environments.

The adult must believe in children’s capacities. Their job is to guide them and be with them in each learning process, allowing them to live and experience each stage autonomously.

It is crucial that they feel supported and motivated, but that they learn by themselves. Mistakes often cause pain, but mistakes are necessary to learn and gain experience to face future situations.

Strengthen children’s self-image by highlighting their qualities and trusting their abilities to carry out their own activities.

The Montessori learning method is based on the pedagogy of respect and trust in children.

Through practical life activities, it seeks to strengthen and develop necessary skills so that children can function in their environment, facilitating the acquisition of new learning. Each of these activities is appropriate to the children’s abilities.

HOW TO CARRY OUT THIS FUN EASTER ACTIVITY WITH CHILDREN OF OTHER AGES?

CHANGES FOR CHILDREN UNDER 4 YEARS OLD

This fun Easter activity can be done with younger children. To reduce the difficulty level, you can arrange thin sticks or pipe cleaners to make the rabbit’s shape. The children can stick Play-Doh onto the outline and then push pasta pieces into it. In this way, children will carry out a motor skill activity appropriate to their development.

This fun Easter activity can be done with older children. To increase the difficulty level and make the activity more attractive, you can give cards to children indicating how the rubber bands should be arranged.
